So, Rihanna is being sued by famed photographer David LaChapelle for emulating his images. Rihanna is citing "fair use". Really, I don't think LaChapelle is going to win this one. It is rather obvious that Rihanna found inspiration in his photos but none of them are completely original. We've seen it all before in one way or another.
For example, in the first shot Rihanna simply looks like a Teletubbie munching popcorn. The second shot she is in the same position but nothing else is really the same. The third? Bondage, hanging from the ceiling? Seen that. The last one I don't see that much that is so shocking similar.
So, while I'm not a fan of Rihanna (until she stops with the flaming red hair,) I do think she'll get away with this one.
