Demi Lovato is talking about her issues these days which is far better for her than cutting on herself like she used to do. Her main issue seems to be self esteem or lack there of. It seems that Demi was freaked by kids coming up to her a declaring her their "role model" Demi said:
“Kids used to tell me, 'You're my role model.' And I'd want to shake them and be like, 'Whyyyyyy? '
Um, duh... maybe because you were on Barney & Friends? Camp Rock? Maybe because you sing catchy little pop tunes that appeal to the tweens? Hello? These kids only see your public persona and cannot imagine you huddled inside your closet with a razor blade and (maybe) a crack pipe. They did catch wind of you punching a chick out but that's "cool" these days, right?
Harsh, maybe? But these teeny bop stars need to understand that like it or not, they ARE role models to these kids. They choose to be in the spotlight the best they could do is try to keep their shit together enough so that little kids don't think it's okay to do whatever, because Demi or Miley Cyrus does it.
